| Extra Information |
There were 18 players and we had 1 visitor, David Cook(Director of the QCC). We also welcomed back
Michael Cowley(also a Director of QCC)to play with us. We were pleased to have Martin Kent,
Secretary Manager of the QCC, to speak to us after the game. The course was in quite good condition with the greens being true but very difficult to get the ball into the hole.
The Ocean Shores weekend
is finalised and players who were not at Gainsborough Greens should get their
information in the post in the next couple of days.
If you don't have your information by the weekend of 13/14 September, phone me on 3262-5987.
Also John Mordacz has organised the trip to New Zealand for October. Several members are going
and also with the Captain and Secretary being in New Zealand at the same time;
the date for the second round of the Club Championship has been changed from Gailes
to the game at Emerald Lakes on 02 November.
We are organising games playing Royal Pines on the Gold Coast. John has been
able to get a very good deal of $69 per night per person accommodation(must stay 3 nights in
a 4 share-a-double bedroom unit)and we are thinking that we could link this up with our game
at Emerald Lakes on Sunday, 2nd November. The $69 fee includes 2 rounds of golf over 2 days and
we could play Sanctuary Cove on Friday 31st October; play Royal Pines on the Saturday,
1st November and then play Emerald Lakes on the Sunday. We would have to go down to the hotel
on the Thursday night to make up the 3 night's accommodation required.
If we didn't want to play Sanctuary Cove we could pay an extra fee, about $30 and play
The Glades instead. We would be staying at the Contessa Apartments. If this sounds great to you,
contact John who knows all the details or the Secretary.
