Event First Round of the Matchplay and a Single Stableford

Winner of Single Stableford John Mordacz = 38 points Runner-up Charles Jackson

Long Drives 9th= Brian Dawson- A Grade: John Bryants- B Grade

Nearest the Pins 4th=Lance Schlomann, 6th=Christine Duffus, 13th=Noel Pittard, 16th=Neville Ostwald

Approach 11th=(no one)

Extra Information There were 31 players including 2 visitors who were Matthew Turner and John Bryants.
The course was in good condition and the greens were excellent.
Sorry about the delay in putting these results on-line but there were some issues that the Committee had to resolve. The results for the First Round of the Matchplay stand except, unfortunately, for two people who were ineligible as they are not members. The Committee decided that their games should be handed to their opponent because of their ineligibility. The link to view the Matchplay results is at the top of the Year 2002 Program.
The Single Stableford was only for people who had a bye in the Matchplay. This was not made clear before the game and the Committee wishes to apologise for that.
A raffle was held that was kindly donated by Graham Toms and this was won by Alec Parker and Lance Schlomann. I'm not sure that these two winners would know what to do with the prizes.
